    Writing a Creation Myth

    Creative Writing

    Objective:

    Using the model in Ishmael, students will write a creation myth that explains the way things are.

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.CCRA.W.11-12.3

    Structure:

    The anthropologist tells the jellyfish that a creation myth is “the fanciful tale you tell your children about the origins of the world.” Ask students to write their own creation myth that explains the origins of the world or some aspect of the world.
