Tony Leung

Born in 1962, Tony Leung is a Hong Kong actor. When he was young, he stopped studying and decided to pursue other interests. It wasn't until he was 16 that he knew he wanted to be an actor. Today, he is considered to be one of the most important actors in Asian cinema of all time, and he won the Cannes Film Festival award for Best Actor for In the Mood for Love. Leung is a frequent collaborator of Wong Kar-wai's. He has also won numerous Hong Kong film awards for best actor.

Maggie Cheung

Born in 1964, Maggie Cheung is a Hong Kong actress who was born in Hong Kong under British occupation and was also raised partly in England. Although Cheung has acted in over 80 films, she said in a personal interview that among her favorites she has acted in are Song of Exile and Center Stage. When Cheung first started her acting career, she had many roles in the comedy genre. She was even noticed by Jackie Chan, who cast her in one of his films. Although it is not one of her personal favorites, In the Mood for Love is one of her most popular films.

Rebecca Pan

Rebecca Pan was born in 1931 in the Republic of China and is a Hong Kong actress and singer. Most of her career was spent in the music industry, where some of her records included How Strange and A Man and a Woman. She has acted in several films, including her most famous, In the Mood for Love, and others, including Days of Being Wild and Starry is the Night. One of the songs that she recorded was played in the soundtrack for In the Mood for Love.

Kelly Lai Chen

Lai Chen, born Hsi Chungchien, was born in 1933 in Pudong, Shanghai, to a wealthy industrial family. His film career began in 1956 when he starred in Green Hills and Jade Valleys. An illustrious career of more than forty films followed his debut. He was married to and had a child with martial arts film star Angela Mao. Lai Chen died in Hong Kong in 2018 at the age of 84.
