The End of Something
Nick Adams and his girlfriend Marjorie visit the abandoned lumber town Hortons Bay. As they sit in a boat fishing, Nick tells Marjorie what little he remembers about the town when it still functioned ten years ago. Majorie notices something wrong with Nick, but he won’t say what it is.
While eating next to a fire, Nick starts teasing Marjorie, much to her frustration. She demands that he admit what’s bothering him, and, finally, he states that he’s not having fun anymore.
Marjorie leaves in anger, but Nick stays behind. He’s eventually met...
