The Family
This family consists of a father, mother, sister, brother, and another brother, all of whom appear towards the end of the poem. There is a difference in ability to speak words depending on the age of the family. For example, the two young boys can only say simple words whereas the father can say longer, complex words, such as “Constantinople and Timbuktu.”
Confused Guy
He too is introduced towards the end of the story. He is shown to be confused as to what a word jumble is and asks for help to the reader, noted as The Youngling, to figure out what the word is.
