Introduction to Hamilton

Hamilton, written by and starring Lin-Manuel Miranda, directed by Thomas Kail, premiered on Broadway in 2015 to unprecedented success. Based on the life of Revolutionary War hero and first secretary of the treasury Alexander Hamilton, the musical seamlessly blends hip-hop, R&B, and musical theater to create a stylized, operatic hybrid work.
