Anaxandra
Anaxandra is the novel's protagonist, the daughter of Chrysaor. At a young age, King Nicander kidnaps Anaxandra and takes her to Siphnos Island to be Princess Callisto's playmate. The author describes Anaxandra as an intelligent girl who disguises herself as Medusa (Prince Callisto) to survive after a foreign ship kills everyone on her island. King Melenaus rescues Anaxandra, now disguised as Princess Callisto and takes her to safety in Sparta.
In Sparta, Anaxandra finds peace, but Queen Helen, who suspects she has faked her identity, troubles her. Anaxandra is worried that her identity can be disclosed at any time. When King Melenaus travels to Crete, Prince Paris invades Sparta and steals its treasures. Paris also sports Helen, and they fall in love instantly. Paris elopes with Helen to Troy, and Anaxandra accompanies Helen instead of Helen's daughter, Hermione. Anaxandra sacrifices herself to care for King Melenaus’ infant son, Pleisthenes. In Troy, the situation turns nasty when King Melenaus returns and launches war against Prince Paris.
King Menelaus
King Melenaus is the king of Sparta, Queen Helen's fiancé, and a brother to King Agamemnon. King Melenaus is a loving father and husband who puts his family first before anything else. When Siphnos is attacked and everyone killed except Anaxandra, King Melenaus rescues her and takes her to Sparta. When King Melenaus returns from a journey and finds his wife has eloped with Paris with the prince of Troy, he mobilizes his friends and launches a fierce battle against Paris to bring his wife back.
Paris
Paris is the Prince of Troy, Hector's younger brother and son of King Priam. Besides being cruel and ruthless, Paris is described as charming, strong, and handsome. When Troy and Queen Helen meet for the first time, they fall in love. Paris elopes with Helen to Troy. However, Paris must be made aware of the consequences of his actions. After arriving in Troy, his kingdom is fiercely attacked by King Melenaus, demanding the immediate release of his wife.
Prince Hector
Prince Hector is the eldest brother of Princes Paris and the eldest son to Queen Hecuba and King Priam of the Troy kingdom. Unlike Prince Paris, Hector is kind, admirable, and respectable. Hector falls in love with Anaxandra and plans to marry her upon her approval.
Queen Helen
Queen Helen is King Melenaus's wife and mother to Prince Pleisthenes and Princess Hermione. Queen Helen is callous, brutal and heartless. Queen Helen mistreats Anaxandra and threatens to reveal her identity. Queen Helen does not care about her children and husband because she elopes with Paris, the prince of Troy. When King Melenaus and Prince Paris fight over Queen Helen, she feels intrigued because two powerful men are fighting over her.
Andromache
Andromache is the bride looking forward to getting married to Princess Hector. Andromache is a loving, kind and well-mannered woman. Andromache does not envy Anaxandra after realizing that Hector loves her and would like to include her in the list of his brides.
Princess Cassandra
Princess Cassandra is King Priam and Queen Hecuba's daughter. Cassandra is the sister of Hector and Paris. Cassandra is a beautiful woman, and her gorgeousness is compared to Queen Helen. Cassandra can predict the future, but people believe she is mad. When Queen Helen comes to Troy with Paris, Cassandra dislikes her and foretells that she will bring trouble to Troy, but no one believes her. In addition, Cassandra instantly discovers that Anaxandra is not Princess Callisto. Still, no one believes her.
