E.L. Konigsburg wrote an extraordinary number of other books. Jennifer, Hecate, Macbeth, William McKinley, and Me, Elizabeth competed with From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler for the Newbery Medal in 1968; The View from Saturday was Konigsburg's other Newbery Medal winner in 1997.
