Five Tuesdays in Winter Irony

Five Tuesdays in Winter Irony

The horrendous dream

The unspecified boy narrator dreams that his parents are involved in a deadly accident and dies. Therefore, the boy believes his dream is true and does not expect his parents to show up forever. However, one day the boy is shocked when his parents return safely from the journey. Since that day, the boy does not believe in nightmares.

The irony of love

A wealthy woman employs Carol to work for her and prepare the house because she expects her grown up children to come over during the holidays. Carol is only 14 years old at that time. When the visitors come, one of them is the son of Carol's employer, who is married. However, his wife does not accompany him. Carol overhears the conversation that he is a married man. Ironically, despite carol's young age and learning that the man is married, she falls madly in love with him.

Discontented daughter

The daughter of an unnamed German narrator woman is paradoxical because she is never satisfied with her mother's effort to make her happy. The mother borrows loans to take the daughter to the most expensive leisure places, but still, the daughter keeps on complaining.
