Objective:
Students will be able to illuminate the novella's characters and themes using a contemporary form

Structure:
Discuss with students the use of perspective in the novella. We "hear" of gossip, but our understanding of the events in the text, at this point, is procesed entirely through Utterson's point of view. How is London society reacting to the events described so far?
