    How does Marlowe use the Chorus sections to convey the idea of time passing and discuss events that might be more difficult to show on stage?

    By describing the number of different places Faustus has traveled to and adventures he has been on--most of which would be difficult to show on stage because of their exotic or magical nature--Marlowe is able to show, in a short period, all of the things Faustus has been able to do with his powers. In addition, because this Chorus communicates a period of time that has elapsed, the audience member or reader is better able to see the ways in which Faustus's beliefs and ideas have developed and the way in which power corrupts him...
