    Students will rewrite a narrative from an alternate point of view

    Common Core Standards:

    Structure:

    As a means of analyzing the impact of point of view on narrative, students will write a journal entry as one of the two hit men in "The Killers" summarizing their experience of the story's events. This should not be a blow-for-blow retelling of what Hemingway wrote, but should synthesize the main events as students imagine the hit men would have summarized them retrospectively.
