Breath, Eyes, Memory Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of Breath, Eyes, Memory, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

Students will use computers for research in the Day 1 activity "Researching Haiti" and the Day 2 activity "Edwidge Danticat."

In the Day 3 activity "Cassette Tapes," students will use some kind of recording device. As cassette tapes are no longer common, students may use computers or phones with software such as Garageband to record an audio file.
