The book was written by Debbie Levy and published by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers on November 5th 2019. Whitney Gardner was the illustrator for the book.

The biography is based around Ginsburg, a notable feminist icon in the 20th century and the present day. The book touches on her fight for equal rights in the male-centric world she grew up in, and her desire to evolve societal norms that discriminate on the basis of gender.
