Art
Art is a major theme in the play as the whole story revolves around the purchased art. Two of the friends disagree on whether or not the art is worth the two hundred thousand paid for it. The art in question becomes such a big issue that it threatens to destroy their friendship.
Changing Friendship
The way the three friends evolve through this play is to discover how much they have changed. They assume that their friendship of 15 years can't change, and that every person in this friendship remains the same with the same ideas, values, and dreams. This is not the case as they eventually realize that their friendship might not be the same as it always has been.
