From Family Business to Sustainable Leadership: My Journey to Reshape the Business Landscape Anonymous

Growing up in a family that owned a hotel, I was immersed in the business world from a young age. Witnessing my parents build their business from the ground up instilled in me a deep fascination with the intricacies of business management. As I delved deeper into studying various business disciplines, I also became aware of the potential for businesses to create both positive and negative impacts.

In my home city of Hanoi, I observed the environmental consequences of nearby industrial operations, such as air pollution and plastic waste from restaurants. This experience highlighted the lack of corporate social responsibility in Vietnam, inspiring me to explore how businesses can integrate sustainability into their practices and drive meaningful change that benefits both economic growth and environmental well-being.

To that end, I have already taken initial steps to encourage my family's hotel to adopt more sustainable practices, such as sourcing local products and reducing plastic waste. However, my ambitions extend far beyond these initial efforts.
