Marilla was going to be gone for an Aid Meeting for the afternoon and told Anne she could invite Diana over for tea. She told Anne about some leftover raspberry cordial she could use to make the party extra special. The girls dressed in their second-best dresses and prepared for an elegant adult tea party. Unfortunately, the raspberry cordial was not where Marilla had said it was, and Anne accidentally served Diana currant wine. Anne didn't have any herself, so she didn't realize the mistake.
