All Things Cease to Appear is a murder mystery novel written by Elizabeth Brundage and was first published by Vintage on 8 March 2016. Brundage is a decorated author, having won numerous awards including the WSJ best mystery of 2016 and the James Michener Award.
The book centers around the Clare family as they attempt to adjust from living busy lives in the city to a small farm, which leaves them at odds with their new community. The family is hit with further tragedy when Catherine Clare is murdered, with the murdered remaining on the loose. Throughout the book, secrets about the family are uncovered and bitter truths are revealed.
The book was extremely well with The New York Times Book Review stating, "This literary thriller's complex narrative involves a cursed house, an unsolved murder and impeccable writing."
