Ronald "Ron" Chernow is an American historian, journalist, writer, and biographer who has written a number of award-winning and bestselling biographies about historical figures and luminaries in business and politics. For his biography Washington: A Life, Chernow won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Biography and the 2011 American History Book Prize. He also won the National Book Award for Nonfiction in 1990 for his book, The House of Morgan: An American Banking Dynasty and the Rise of Modern Finance.
