Sadie
Sadie is the main character of the movie. Having suffered abuse herself, she set out to help other women who are stuck in domestic abuse by filling in the role of a vigilante, a person enacting revenge. She is also searching for her missing abusive husband, who disappeared after killing her son and injuring her.
Sadie's husband
Sadie's husband is the antagonist who comes out in the last third of the movie. Violent and controlling, he portrays a typical and almost childlike need for control-as demonstrated at the end, before Sadie kills him.
Women's shelter counselor
Counselor at the women's shelter where Sadie resides after surviving her husband's attack ends up an important factor in Sadie's role as a vigilante. She secretly puts abused women in contact with Sadie so that Sadie can help them.
