A Strange Manuscript Found in a Copper Cylinder is a novel written by James De Mille. It is his most famous and most well read book. After De Mille passed away, Harper’s Weekly published the work in a series and then in 1888, it was published in book form.

Some sailors having a race find a copper cylinder with a strange manuscript inside, hence the title, and the person who wrote it was a sailor, whose name is Adam More.
