Lemkin was a Jewish Polish lawyer. He lobbied for more interest in the foreign policy issues surrounding the Jewish Holocaust, which eventually led to the creation of the 1948 U.N. Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

President Ronald Reagan

Ronald Wilson Reagan was the 40th president of the United States from 1981 to 1989. He was heavily involved in foreign crisis vents during his presidency, including the 1986 bombing of Libya, the 1980-8 Iran–Iraq War, the 1885-7 Iran–Contra affair, and the renewing of the 1947-1991 Cold War.
