Presentations on Contributors

Kind of Activity:

Collaborative Writing

Objective:

Students will research and write about the various contributors to the text.

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.11-12.2, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.11-12.6

Structure:

To begin the activity, have students describe their favorite author or creator to a partner. Then, encourage students to share their answers with the class. If you can, try to get students who do not normally talk to participate. Students can share their favorite artists and explain a little about what they know about said artist. Ask students if they think it is important to know a little about an artists’ background.
