Study Objectives

If all of the elements of this lesson plan are employed, students will develop the following powers, skills, and understanding:

    Students will gain an understanding of the major features, artistic and philosophical concerns, and historical underpinnings of the Romantic movement as a multi-arts, global movement.

    SWBAT describe some of Wordsworth's major themes and how his treatment of them changes and evolves through several poems. The themes are to include nature and man's relation to it, how imagination works, childhood, memory, and grief.
