Fernandes

Fernandes is the narrator of the story Hueco. He was a carpenter by profession and rented the room of Mrs Hargraves. The room was painted blue and it was the same one where her mother died. Fernandes was in depression while sleeping on that same mattress. He had two girlfriends. One of them was Yvette, who was called 'horror' by the landlady. Fernandes also had another girl named Blanca. Blanca had another lover who was a welder.

Mayela

Mayela was a young and beautiful girl in the city of El Peso. She was married,, but her husband did not care about her much. So she was left alone in her house often. She also did not love her husband. She only wanted to leave. Furthermore, she is a very attractive woman who knows she is attractive and can attract any man she wants. Mayela beamed with joy while telling the narrator how a man gay man was attracted to her and how women also wanted her. Yet, she did not care about them. She was only proud about it.

Manuel Batista

Manual is a young man who is 18 years old,, but he pretends to be twenty-one. He has a girlfriend who is 16. Manuel wants to be a loyal boyfriend to the girl and tries hard, but only to be surrendered towards his impulses. He is fascinated by the breasts of his coworker women. Then he is lured to get into some nasty business.
