Annette and Antoinette

Group Discussion

Objective:

Students will be able to consider the characters of Antoinette and Annette, their relationship to each other, and their similar struggles.

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.2, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.3

Structure:

Students may form small groups in which they will compare and contrast Antoinette and her mother Annette. Students may create Venn diagrams or lists. Once each group has been given sufficient discussion time, a student from each should present their conclusions to the class.
