What's next for Hazel's warren? When the book ends, it seems pretty idyllic – as if after all the struggle and adventure, the rabbit heroes of Watership Down have established the perfect, peaceful society: a rabbit Utopia. Encourage your students to try to imagine what the warren might look like in five, or even ten years. Consider different aspects of rabbit society that might change, and that we have seen variations in throughout the text.
