    Students will write imitations of Whitman's poems to better understand his poetic choices.

    Structure:

    This is Day One of a five-day project.

    A pastiche is a creative work that imitates another, better-known work. Writing pastiches is a great way to gain a deeper understanding of a poet's process and to inspire further writing.
