Linger

Stay in a place longer than necessary because of a reluctance to leave.

Disarray

A state of disorganization or untidiness.

Exert

Making a physical or mental effort.

Indelibly

Making marks that cannot be removed or forgotten

Provoke

To deliberately make (someone) annoyed or angry

Adjunct

When something is connected or added to something

Intimate

Closely acquainted or familiar or personal.

Obscure

Murky, incomprehensible and mysterious.

Abject

A state of extreme conditions, usually conveyed with a negative connotation.

Wary

A state of intense suspicion characterized by distrust and at least a slight fear of one’s security.

Jounce

The act of moving up and down repetitively.

Clamor

A loud noise often within the context of a demand for something.

Conscientious

Extremely attentive to completing a task within the context of being very loyal and dutiful.

Debenture

An unsecured bond or a certificate to acknowledge receipt of a debt.

Dossier

A collection of personal information collected for the purpose of compiling a recorded history of a person, organization or event.

Earnest

Done with the utmost sincerity.

Eloquent

Exhibiting a mastery of the spoken word.

Equinox

The two days of the year in which day and night are of relatively equal length.

Evade

A converted effort to hide from something; usually conveyed in a sense indicating a potential for danger if discovered.

Obliterate

Utter and complete destruction; to annihilate.

Lineage

The blood line of a family ancestry.

Facade

The outward show of something; can be applied metaphorically to a person’s personality or the front part of physical structure equally.

Taunt

To intentionally provoke.

Savor

To relish or take unusually profound pleasure in something.

Minuteness

The quality of being exceptionally tiny.
