How does "The Colonel" punish Skip for challenging him?

Sands challenges his uncle, realizing that his tactics are not going to work. Colonel Sands is used to people agreeing with him and has the authority to transfer Skip away from the situation. Skip is therefore transferred away from the central leadership of the operation and instead resides in an isolated village where he does not have the resources to make an impact.

What do the Houstoun brothers spend their money on?

While working for the military the brothers are able to earn some money. Some of this money they send home to their families; however, the brothers also spend a lot of their money on alcohol and prostitutes.
