Pastiche Project: Day 2

Objective:
Students will write imitations of Larkin's poems to better understand his poetic choices and thematic concerns.

Structure:
This is part two of a multi-day activity. Over the course of the week, students will choose one poem from each day's assignment to imitate in a pastiche.
Explain to students that a pastiche is a poem written in imitation of the style and form of another poem. It is not satire--it is meant to honor, not mock, the original work. For day two, students will focus on imagery. Have a 10 minute discussion:
