Blame game in Lockwood and Co
Lockwood and Co. attribute its successes to the cooperativeness of its team members. Whenever the agency wins a case, they celebrate each other. Ironically, whenever the agency losses a case, Lockwood blames George. George is in charge of research and experimentation before any case is executed. Therefore, the team is insincere because they blame George whenever things are not working out properly
The ghost cooperates with humans
The whispering skull is a paradoxical character because, despite its fellow ghosts causing havoc in the city, he is cooperating with humans against them. Whispering the skull is the reason why Lucy is an expert in destroying deadly ghosts that affect the people in London.
Mr. Sander’s Expectations
When Mr. Sanders gives Lockwood and Co. the task of supervising the exhumation of Edmund Back staff's coffin, he expects them to execute it diligently without making any slight mistake. According to Mr. Sanders, the coffin is dangerous because, if mishandled, it can cause havoc in town by releasing dangerous ghost spirits that kill instantly. Ironically, while executing the task, Lockwood makes a mistake when George accidentally slips into the coffin, causing it to release a deadly ghost. Therefore, Mr. Sanders is disappointed at Lockwood and Co. because he did not expect any mistake to occur.
