Objective:
Students will discuss the unspoken dynamics of a relationship between two of the novel's protagonists.

Structure:
In these early chapters, we are introduced to several students and teachers at Gordon High, many of whom have some sort of relationship between one another. Divide the class into small groups. Begin this discussion by having each group list of all of the major characters we've met so far. The list should include the following: Ben Ross, Laurie, Amy, David, and Robert.
