Students will be able to assess and track their own interpretations of the narrator's point of view and reliability.

Structure:

Ask students to identify and discuss the point of view in the first story, "The Things They Carried." Ask them to make a list of qualities that third-person narrators bring to storytelling, and then ask them to assess the first story in light of what they find.
