He is an unappealing lad who stalks Sophie. He yearns to be Sophie’s comrade, but Sophie is not fascinated with him.
Agatha
She is Sophie’s valued comrade who resides at the cemetery. She is deemed a disagreeable witch due to her dressing and peculiar bearings.
Sophie’s father (Stefan)
He does not approve of Sophie’s abduction and he deems the fairy narratives to be unqualified nonsense.
Mr. Deauville
He is the proprietor of the dominant ‘Storybook Shop’ which solely trades fairytale storybooks. The precise origin of the storybooks is weirdly anonymous.
