Throughout their reading of The Republic, students will be asked to conduct research on various topics, such as for homework during the first day, when they are asked to locate resources online related to philosophy. Students will also be asked to "catalog" their beliefs about certain issues in a classwide Facebook group so that they can keep track of how their beliefs change over the course of the class.
