The Removalists Character List

Dan Simmonds

Dan Simmonds is a seasoned police sergeant. He doesn’t respect women, which includes his close family. He is a sadist and gets sexual pleasure from examining the abuse his clients have gone through, which he does with Fiona when he takes pictures of her bruises. He has authority and respect from everyone in the town, even though he is a hypocrite.

Neville Ross

Neville Ross is the new policeman in the station. He is nervous and fidgety, unsure of what he is supposed to do. He is also viewed as naïve and stupid, as he just listens to what the he has to do, not knowing if he is doing it right or not. He is often degraded by Simmonds, as he calls him out on his inadequate traits. It is revealed that he also is violent, as he nearly kills Kenny during his attack.

Kate Mason

Kate Mason is a woman of confidence, authority and control. She is married to a rich dentist, and they have three children together. Mason enjoys the luxuries of life, as she is posh and stuck-up. Simmons and Kate are similar, as they both have been unfaithful and enjoy the feeling of power over people they deem as “below” themselves.
