Students will create memes that engage with the themes and emotions of the text.

Structure:

In this short exercise, students will choose a theme from the story and create a meme. Before leading this activity, find a couple popular (but appropriate) memes to show the class on some slides. Then, to start the activity, show the students the slides and ask them, “What do memes do?
