The Open Boat Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of "The Open Boat," students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

"Life of Stephen Crane" requires internet research.

The "Prequels" activity would benefit from the class having a platform for online publishing.

Students could use design software rather than sketching by hand in the "Visual Interpretation" activity.
