Throughout the study of The Namesake, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments.

Day 1's activity "The Usernamesake," which continues throughout the lesson plan, makes extensive use of social media.

Day 2's activity "The History of Your Name" uses a class blog or document-sharing site like GoogleDocs, as does the Day 3 activity "The Passage of Time" and the Day 4 activity "Point of View Exercise."

On Day 3, the activity "First Generation: Research" will require internet research.
