Students will recognize that the places mentioned in "The White Seal" exist in the actual world and they will locate these places on a map.

Structure:

Unlike the other six stories in The Jungle Book, "The White Seal" is not set in the Jungle. The primary setting for "The White Seal" is Novastoshnah, which is on St. Paul's Island, Alaska (about as far from India as you can get.)
