Throughout the study of The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, students with particular learning disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments.

On Day 1, students will need internet access for both lessons, to conduct research and to set up personal blogs.

“Debating the Politics of Performance” on Day 2 calls for use of a smart board and document sharing, such as GoogleDocs. The “Writing About Music” lesson requires speakers for playing music, and potentially a projector or large screen if the lesson is modified to include a film screening.
