Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of The Handmaid's Tale, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments.

Students will create Pinterest boards based on aspects of the novel, as in the Day One Classroom Activity "Color Codes."

Students may record "Unwomen documentaries" as short YouTube videos as in the Day Two Classroom Activity "Women and Unwomen."

Students may wish to present information in the form of a PowerPoint slideshow as in the Day Three Classroom Activity "A Plausible Future."
