The paradox of owning a candy shop
Billy dreamt of renovating the abandoned house to set up a candy shop, but when the new investor took it, he gave up and joined the employees of the new owner. Consequently, Bill's dream of owning a candy shop died, and he forgot about that idea when he decided to work for the new owner. Satirically, when Bill exposed the plan of Cobra cat to steal the jewels of Duke's wife, his dream came alive. Bill was invited alongside other animals to live on Duke's estate, and he got an opportunity to renovate their old house to set up a candy shop. Consequently, Bill actualized his dream of owning a candy shop when he least expected it.
The discarded building
In Billy's mind, he is sure that the discarded house within his neighborhood is unattractive to any other investor except him. Therefore, he relaxes and waits for the day he will get enough money to renovate the house and open his dream business. The derelict building is a significant symbol of Billy’s future dream of owning a candy shop. Ironically, The Ladder less Window-Cleaning Company shows up, renovates the building, and takes it over. This contradicts Billy's initial assumption that the house's bad state could not attract any potential investor. In a few days, the company is full of staff, and Bill has no option but to befriend them because they are sociable.
The Giraffe
Realizing that the giraffe knows the taste of walnuts it has never eaten is satirical. Initially, the giraffe is depicted as a generous character who only eats purple and pink flowers. The reader also comprehends that the primary food for the giraffe is green vegetation especially leaves. Therefore, it is illogical for the giraffe to claim that it knows the taste of walnuts. On the contrary, the giraffe says that it dreams of eating walnuts because they are delicious, sweet, and flavorful. The irony is that the giraffe knows the taste of walnuts, and he has never eaten them in his entire life.
