Cassandra Williams
Cassandra is 12 years old, and she is a sister to Wayne. Cassandra and Wayne are very close, and their bond is so strong. Cassandra knows that it is her responsibility to care for her younger brother, and she did that excellently. However, one day while swimming for fun, Wayne accidentally drowns and dies. Cassandra and the well-wishers on sight tried to help Wayne but in vain.
When Cassandra returns home, she cries and finds it difficult to break the sad news to her parents. However, she gains the courage and tells her parents that Wayne is no more. The parents are shocked and try to combine efforts to retrieve Wayne's body, but that never happens.
Wayne Williams
Wayne is seven years old and a brother to Cassandra. Wayne is a lovely and loyal young boy who loves his sister and follows her wherever she goes. Unfortunately, while swimming with his sister, he drowns and dies. Wayne's body is never retrieved, leaving a trail of grief to his family.
Mr. Williams
Mr. Williams is the father to Cassandra and Wayne. When Mr. Williams learns of the sad news about the death of his son, he never recovers from grief, and later he decides to leave home and start a new life elsewhere. Mr. Williams married another wife and separated from his first family because he wanted to be away and forget about the death of his son.
Mrs. Williams
Mrs. Williams is the mother to Cassandra and Wayne. Mrs. Williams is the most affected by the death of Wayne. After learning that her son is dead, she gets permanent scars of pain. Later years in her life, after her husband separated from the family, she opened an organization searching for missing children. Mrs. Williams works closely with her daughter Cassandra to cope with the death of Wayne.
