insignificance

Trivial; of less than major importance; irrelevant to the subject at hand; petty.

narcissist

Someone who is utterly self-centered and views everything that happens only through the lens of how it affects them.

intellectual

An academic; often conveying a negative sense characterizing someone as out of touch with down-to-earth reality.

querulous

Critical and overly complaining; someone possessing an unbearably negative outlook.

eroticism

A quality that creates a sexual desire in another person.

allegorical

Highly symbolic creative endeavor in which nearly every entity contains an aspect which stands for something larger.

metafiction

A work of fiction in which the subject becomes the fictional content of the novel itself.

subordinates

Employees; minions; underlings; those at least one class below in the hierarchy of the organization.

queue

A line in which people wait to do or buy or enjoy something.

frivolous

Lighthearted; playful and flippant; thoughtlessly idle.

fixation

An obsession; a manic addiction to a single point of interest.

banal

Common and boring; trite and hackneyed; prosaic; lacking sophistication.

intertwined

A complex connection of two or more entities; inescapably bonded together.

caricature

A satirical imitation; a lampoon of one’s most obvious characteristics; a caricature.

precoccupying

Consuming interest that distracts from more or equally important aspects of life.

bilingual

Capable of speaking two different languages at a certain level of fluency.

ruminate

Contemplate; reflect upon; to muse and ponder.
