Students will analyze a quote from the text and use art to express the meaning they find in it personally.

Structure:

Begin this activity by sharing with students a couple of quotes that you (as a teacher, as a person) find meaningful and significant. You will then explain to them why those quotes speak to you.

Then, instruct students will choose a quote from Chapters 6-7 in the memoir, one that they find significant and meaningful for themselves. They will use an app to create a digital poster that includes...
