Character Profiles

Structure:

Reading plays is difficult when students don't have a clear picture of who is speaking each line. Guide students through the creation of character profiles by completing one for Reverend Parris together on an interactive white board, and having students complete the remainder individually or in groups of two or three. For each character, have students write out a sheet with: name
age (specific or general)
personality (3+ adjectives, and 1+ line of dialogue/description that gives evidence for a trait)...
