Students will use technology throughout this unit for research and creative purposes. Throughout the study of The Bean Trees, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.
Day 1: Students will use the internet to research Appalachia and will use presentation software to aid in conveying information to the class.
Day 2: Students will research Guatemala.
Day 3: Students can use digital artmaking software to aid in their interpretations of Estevan or Esperanza's voices.
