(Noun) A word coined by Gwendolyn Brooks, a variation on "dinnerware" that describes old, worn out, and/or damaged plates.

Flatware

(Noun) eating and serving utensils (such as knives, forks, and spoons)

Twinge

(Noun) A sudden, sharp stab of pain; a moral or emotional pang.

Receipt

(Noun) A written acknowledgment of having received goods or money.

Fringe

(Noun) An ornamental border consisting of short straight or twisted threads or strips hanging from cut or raveled edges or from a separate band.
