The Age of Innocence Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of The Age of Innocence, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

In the Day One activity, "Edith Wharton Character Blog," students will need individual computers to conduct research and create/compose their blogs. They will also need access to a blogging platform (https://edublogs.org is recommended for the activity).

In the Day One activity, "Text and Film," the teacher will need a projector or screen with audio capabilities to play scenes from the film adaptation of the novel.
